Help: Skate Resharpening Check

The sharpening check asks simple questions to help decide whether skates may need a technician check or whether another cause is more likely.

Use it for

  • saving signs that skates may be dull, too sharp, uneven, or inconsistent
  • separating edge feel from confidence, technique, fatigue, ice conditions, and fit problems
  • keeping a history of sharpening-related observations for the active skater account

Important limits

  • the result is guide-only and not a guaranteed diagnosis
  • a saved check can be shared with a skate technician organization through Support Network
  • unsafe, damaged, or very uneven skates should be inspected directly
