Who We Are

The website and online service portal are operated by TheRink. If you need to contact TheRink about these terms, an account, a service, a payment, or a website issue, use the contact details published on TheRink's website or in your account.

Using the Website and Portal

You may use the website and portal for lawful personal, family, skating, optional support plan, retail, payment, rental, and service purposes connected with TheRink.

You must not:

• use the website or portal unlawfully, fraudulently, or in a way that harms TheRink, other users, staff, systems, or service providers;
• try to gain unauthorised access to accounts, admin areas, systems, data, or payment pages;
• interfere with the security, availability, or integrity of the website or portal;
• submit false, misleading, offensive, harmful, infringing, or unlawful information;
• scrape, copy, bulk-download, reverse engineer, or republish website content except where this is clearly allowed by TheRink or by law;
• upload malware, spam, automated requests, or anything intended to disrupt the service.

TheRink may restrict, suspend, or close access where it reasonably believes an account, card code, payment link, or website feature is being misused or where this is needed to protect customers, staff, systems, data, or services.

Accounts and Security

You are responsible for keeping your login details, card codes, payment links, and account access secure. You should tell TheRink promptly if you believe an account, card code, payment link, or service record has been accessed or used without permission.

You must keep account and contact details accurate and up to date. TheRink may use the information in your account or service record to identify you, provide services, send service messages, issue payment links, arrange collection or dispatch, and maintain service history.

Do not add information about another person unless you have authority to do so, for example where you are a parent, guardian, family account holder, or the person responsible for that skater's equipment or service request.

Children and Family Use

TheRink services may be used by or for children and young people. An adult account holder should supervise a child's use of the website and portal where appropriate and should only add information that is suitable and necessary for the service or feature being used.

Services, Advice, and Online Tools

The website and portal may support skate servicing, sharpening, repairs, fitting, retail, rental, optional support plans, progression support, skate-care tracking, guided equipment selection, payments, and customer support.

Online tools, calculators, recommendations, skate-care logs, progression records, RoH checks, discomfort or fit logs, and time-on-ice records are provided to support service conversations and personal tracking. They are not a substitute for professional coaching, medical advice, or in-person assessment where that is needed.

Skating, skate equipment, fitting, sharpening, and progression decisions can depend on individual circumstances, skating level, body growth, technique, health, equipment condition, and rink conditions. TheRink may use reasonable care and skill when providing services and advice, but online guidance cannot guarantee a particular skating result, fit outcome, competition result, comfort level, or performance improvement.

If you have pain, injury, medical concerns, or symptoms that may need clinical assessment, you should seek appropriate medical advice.

Orders, Payments, Rentals, and Fulfilment

Goods, services, rentals, workshop work, payment links, subscriptions, Shopify checkout items, and other transactions may have additional terms, prices, descriptions, cancellation rights, delivery or collection arrangements, refund rules, rental conditions, or service-specific requirements shown at the point of purchase, booking, invitation, quotation, or checkout.

You should check the details before paying, booking, submitting a service request, or accepting an invitation. If you notice an error in an order, payment, service request, delivery address, collection arrangement, or account record, contact TheRink promptly.

TheRink will try to keep prices, descriptions, availability, delivery options, collection details, and service information accurate. If an obvious error is found, TheRink may correct it and, where appropriate, contact you before proceeding.

Nothing in these terms limits any cancellation, refund, repair, replacement, repeat-performance, or other rights you may have under consumer law.

User Content and Information You Provide

You retain ownership of information, notes, images, service details, skate-care records, progression records, messages, and other content you submit, where you own that content.

You give TheRink permission to use, store, copy, process, display, share, and adapt that content where reasonably necessary to operate the website and portal, provide services, administer accounts, process payments, maintain service records, support customers, troubleshoot issues, keep systems secure, and meet legal obligations.

You must not submit content that you do not have the right to provide, or that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, invasive of privacy, infringing, misleading, or technically harmful.

Data and Privacy

TheRink's use of personal data is explained in the Data and Privacy Statement. That statement describes what data may be visible to TheRink, what skate-care data is private by default from normal service/admin views, when data may be shared with TheRink, and when developers or technical providers may need access to operate, maintain, debug, secure, or support the website and portal.

Third-Party Services and Links

The website and portal may link to or use third-party services, including payment providers, Shopify checkout, messaging providers, email/SMS/WhatsApp services, maps, analytics, hosting providers, and external websites.

Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy notices. TheRink is not responsible for third-party websites or services that it does not control, but this does not affect any responsibility TheRink may have under applicable law.

Intellectual Property

TheRink owns or licenses the website, portal, branding, design, text, images, tools, recommendations, databases, software, and other content, except for content supplied by users or third parties.

You may use website and portal content for your own lawful personal or family use connected with TheRink services. You must not copy, publish, sell, licence, adapt, or reuse the website, portal, tools, designs, databases, or content for commercial purposes without TheRink's permission, unless the law allows it.

Availability and Changes

TheRink may update, improve, withdraw, suspend, or change website and portal features. TheRink will try to keep the website available, but availability may be affected by maintenance, faults, security work, provider outages, network problems, or operational changes.

TheRink does not promise that the website or portal will always be available, error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device or browser.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory consumer rights, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

TheRink is responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of TheRink breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. TheRink is not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, losses caused by your own misuse of the website or portal, or business losses where the website or portal is used for business or commercial purposes.

The website and portal are intended for personal, family, customer, member, and skating-service use. They are not intended to be relied on as a business continuity, medical, emergency, or professional coaching system.

Ending or Restricting Access

You may stop using the website and portal at any time. Some service, payment, rental, accounting, dispute, safety, or legal records may still need to be kept after an account is closed or a service is completed.

TheRink may restrict, suspend, or close access if it reasonably believes these terms have been broken, an account is inactive, payment is overdue, information is inaccurate, a security risk exists, or restriction is needed to protect TheRink, customers, staff, service providers, or other users.

Changes to These Terms

TheRink may update these terms as services, systems, providers, business needs, or legal requirements change. The updated version should show the date of the latest change. Significant changes should be brought to users' attention where appropriate.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also have the right to bring proceedings there. Nothing in these terms affects mandatory consumer rights that apply in the country where you live.
